Directions from Chesterfield Town Centre

Leave Chesterfield on A617 following signs for M1/Mansfield. Take the first exist off the A617 signposted Hasland/Grassmoor staying in right hand lane.

Turn right onto B6039 St Leonards Drive for 0.8 miles.

At second mini-roundabout turn right onto B6038 The Green following signs for Grassmoor/North Wingfield for 1.6 miles.

Passing Grassmoor Golf Club and entering Grassmoor New Street is the first turn left.  The Community Centre is on the right.

Directions from M1 Junction 29

Leaving the M1 at Junction 29 take the A617 to Chesterfield for approximately 2 miles.

Take the first exit B6039 to Hasland. At top of exit slip-road turn left and then almost immediately right staying on the B6039.

At first roundabout turn left, signposted Grassmoor.

At next roundabout turn left onto B6038 following signs for Grassmoor for 0.5 miles.

Passing Grassmoor Golf Club and entering Grassmoor New Street is the first turn left just before the zebra crossing. The Community Centre is on the right.

Directions from M1 Junction 28/Alfreton

Leaving the M1 at Junction 28 take the A38 towards Alfreton for approximately 5 miles.

At roundabout turn right onto A61 to Alfreton/Clay Cross.

Stay on A61 passing through Alfreton and Clay Cross for approximately 7.5 miles.

At Tupton turn right at the second roundabout onto Queen Victoria Road for 0.5 miles. 

Carry on to Bridge Street & Birkin Lane  for 0.6 miles.

Turn left at mini-roundabout onto B6038 North Wingfield Road towards Grassmoor/Hasland.

Go straight ahead at next mini-roundabout. Proceed through Grassmoor passing Barnes Park and Grassmoor Primary School for 0.5 miles.

Take the 4th turn on  the right into New Street immediately after the zebra crossing.  The Community Centre is on the right.

Arriving by train

The nearest railway station is Chesterfield. Taxis are readily available from the taxi rank adjacent to the station.

Arriving by bus

Grassmoor is on a main bus route from Chesterfield and Clay Cross. Services include Service 54 which runs at regular intervals from Church Way, Chesterfield (adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre).
